Education in Australia

Most qualifications are nationally and intrnationally recognized

Australian's education system uses a three tierd system that must be completed on most occasions to complete tertiary or further studies. This is aimed at making sure pass and completion rates are maintained to a high standard.

Most qualifications are nationally recognized meaning workers can move around Australia as employment opportunities arise. Parents can send their children to either private or state schools or can even home school their children in some circumstances. This gives parents a wide number of education options for their children.

Opportunities for further education lie within Universities, TAFE and Colleges.
To gain entry to University most students are given a entry ranking in their final year of High School, entry to specific courses is dictated by this entry ranking so that the top performing students are given first choice to complete the most popular bachelor degrees.

This ensures Australia's top minds are in highly regarded professions such as medicine. At TAFE and College, students can attain an Advanced Diploma but no higher than this. This can be used as a partial credit towards bachelor degrees. This gives Australia's education system a flexible approach and allows education institutions to tailor curriculums to students future needs.
